  • I am excited to step into the role of Camp Director at Covenant Park. I love Jesus, I love people, and I believe deeply in what camp can do in the life of a student. Camp is one of the few places where walls come down, hearts open up, and God gets real. My heart for Covenant Park is simple. This would be a place where friend meets friends, and both meet God, where prayer is normal, grace is loud, and students learn to follow Jesus without living under guilt or performance.

I bring 17 years of youth ministry experience and 28 years of ministry and leadership experience, walking with students and families through real life, real questions, and real faith. I care a lot about culture, hospitality, and making sure every person who steps onto this property feels seen, safe, and welcomed.

I am married to my wife, Venessa, and we have been married for 25 years. We have a daughter named Hailey who keeps life honest and keeps me laughing. We also have two dogs, Abby and Bella.

Our family is excited to be part of this camp community. We cannot wait to meet you, hear your story, and walk with you as God does something powerful here. If you see me around camp, come say hi. I promise a warm welcome, a real conversation, and probably a dad joke that lands about half the time.

  • I grew up near Proctor, MN, and am happily married to Jasmine. We have two energetic and hilarious children. Jasmine and I both hold Bachelor’s degrees in Biblical Studies. While in college, I served as a youth pastor for two years and as an assistant programs director at a Bible camp. After graduating, I worked as a video editor for a children’s ministry in Chicago, developing weekend curriculum that reached audiences worldwide. Jasmine has been called to ministry since she was 10, volunteering as a camp counselor and ministering to teens throughout college.

Wanting to be closer to family and start our own, we moved to the Duluth area and found our church home at Salem Covenant Church, where I served as Media Director, Custodian, and Young Adult Director. In 2025, we felt called to Covenant Park Bible Camp. Camp ministry profoundly impacted me as a youth, shaping my walk with God and inspiring my call to full-time ministry. I’m excited to share that same transformative experience with others, and our family is thrilled to serve at CPBC.

  • I grew up in Willow River, MN where my childhood memories consist primarily of working in the garden with my Dad and swimming with my Mom, brother and sister.

Though God was always a member of our family, it wasn't until after high school and just prior to graduating from UW-Superior, that my relationship with God truly flourished for the first time as He became more of a priority. I began to see the real me that God had intended, and the joy in living out that purpose whether it be gardening or cooking, reading or simply spending time with loved ones.

Soon afterwards, I met and married my patient and loving husband, Kevin. We moved to the Twin Cities for 11 years, and then, through divine intervention, we moved back to the Twin Ports almost three years ago.

Kevin and I were invited into the Lakeview Covenant congregation through newly-formed friendships, and this is how I came to be a part of the Covenant Park Bible Camp. I am most looking forward to seeing how God will use all of us at camp and in the relationships that are formed. I love to pray for His blessings and guidance in the lives of others and myself and then see how such a tapestry of events unfolds as to reaffirm our faith.

  • Tim joined Covenant Park staff as Maintenance Director in the summer of 2013. He has been involved in Christian camp ministry throughout his life having worked at numerous camps in varying roles.

He also has a teaching degree in Industrial Technology Education. During the school year, when not working at camp, he is a substitute teacher in local school districts within Carlton County.

Tim grew up in a Christian family but didn't receive Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior until his early teens. He has been involved in various ministries throughout his life.

Tim moved to the Cloquet area in 1996 and lives just down the road from the Big Lake Covenant Church. He and his wife Cindy have been married for 34 years and have three children, two of whom are married. He loves building and fixing things and enjoys working on anything that has a gas engine, especially cars and his 76 Ford F-250.

While not working directly with the campers, Tim sees his role of maintaining the buildings and grounds as crucial to the success of the camp experience. He believes the less the staff has to concern themselves with, the more time and energy they can spend ministering to the spiritual needs of the campers.

  • Hi, I’m Krissy, the Office Manager and Registrar at Covenant Park! Camp has been a meaningful part of my family’s life for many years—my husband grew up attending, and after coming to Family Camp, I quickly fell in love with the community and ministry here.

I’m a mom of four wonderful kids who have all grown up attending and serving at camp. I spent 20 years as a stay-at-home mom, homeschooling my children, and have also served for six years on the Nursery Staff at Salem Covenant Church. After volunteering as a summer counselor, I’m excited to now serve Covenant Park in this new role and see all that God has in store.

  • I love to cook and be hospitable to people. I have 2 grown girls, 2 cats and have been married to my husband 25 years. I am originally from Mt Iron/Virginia area and have recently moved to Cloquet. I enjoy being with family and friends, doing church activities, cooking and baking, and spending time in nature with God.

  • Leonard has continued to bless us with his amazing and abundant cooking since 2013! His biscuits and gravy and wealth of knowledge on pretty much any subject due to his love for reading make him legendary in the camp circle!

  • I am one of the privileged few who get to call Covenant Park home! I am excited to serve at camp, combining my skills of team building and leadership with my desire to come alongside and encourage young people in their spiritual journey. I spent over a decade working in the coffee industry, with the majority of those years begin with Starbucks as a shift manager. I learned many great leadership and team-building skills in those years. I also greatly enjoyed working with youth throughout college as I earned my Bachelor's in Biblical Studies. In more recent years, my husband and I started a young adult ministry in Duluth. We found we loved ministry with that age bracket! I look forward to how God will work in our time at camp.
