Campers sleep in large tents and enjoy meals cooked over the fire. The outpost is a rustic atmosphere of backwoods camping, so campers will get to enjoy this rustic camp experience and traditional camping activities. Although the schedule will vary based on the staff leadership, group size and camper ability, some potential activities include fishing, deep-sea diving (swimming off the pontoon), hiking at a nearby trail, canoeing, orienteering, games and songs around the fire. Each day will also include a trip to main camp for canteen, and swimming (if not deep-sea diving). Campers will also get to use the climbing wall and zipline at main camp. Not a problem. Please note the allergies, severity and any special instructions on your camper’s health form. When going through the food line, your camper’s counselor can help the kitchen staff identify them to receive a special meal. You may feel more comfortable sending food with your child. You can also do this. Your camper’s counselor can help them get their food from the kitchen at each meal. Feel free to drop this off at the kitchen when you drop your child off for camp.
· Will my child be in the same cabin as his/her friends?
We will make sure that at least 1 cabin mate request is granted for each camper. We do our best to honor both cabin mate requests if at all possible. Due to the space limitations of cabins, we usually cannot accommodate large group requests for cabin mates.

Carlton County, MN ordinances require public road access to any public campground.
Due to a “Water Only Access” to the Anderson Outpost, a provision in the permitting requires all participants to sign a “Hold Harmless Agreement” releasing Carlton County of any liability should an emergency situation arise on the property. The statement from Carlton County reads as follows: “The Developer (Covenant Park Bible Camp) or his/her successors, heirs, representatives and assigns shall have all campers, or if minors, their parents or legal guardians, sign a waiver agreeing to indemnify, defend and hold harmless the County (Carlton, MN), its officials, officers and agents from any liability, claim, causes of action, judgments or expenses, including reasonable attorney’s fees, resulting directly or indirectly from the inability of any emergency response vehicle to respond to an emergency on private property served or utilizing water only access.”
Please Note: Covenant Park Bible Camp will be providing personnel to staff the Anderson Outpost with the same credentials as that of a commercial canoe guide in the Boundary Waters Canoe Wilderness Area.
The camp carries accident/injury insurance. This insurance is a modest secondary insurer policy, which will cover expenses that an individual’s insurance company does not cover if the injury happens at camp.
If an individual is not insured, the camp insurance will cover some medical costs. Please notify the camp office immediately if you have claim questions.
